Our story

It started after a reorg meeting that shouldn't have taken three hours.

The org chart everyone was staring at was wrong — not wildly wrong, just wrong enough that half the meeting went into figuring out who actually owned what before anyone could talk about the reorg itself. ArxOrg started as an internal tool to stop that from happening again.

2023

The first version was a Python script

It pulled a CSV export from an HRIS, built a graph out of it, and just... showed who was actually reporting to whom. Nothing clever. Turned out to be useful anyway.

2024

Other teams wanted the ugly internal tool

A couple of people at other companies saw it during a call and asked if they could use it too. We said yes before we'd really thought through what that meant for us.

Now

Still small, still mostly building what people ask for

We've added movement tracking, reorg comparisons, and an actual dashboard since. The core idea hasn't changed — show the structure as it is, not as it was drawn six months ago.
